Second-hand smoke, also known as environmental tobacco smoke (ETS), is a combination of the smoke in the air from a burning cigarette and the smoke exhaled by a person smoking. As a result of ETS, an estimated 60,000 adult nonsmokers in the U.S. will die from heart, lung and other diseases. CTEPA believes that all Coloradans have the right to work in a clean air environment.
